The paste this time is made of heated olive oil, a tablespoon of honey, and a teaspoon of cinnamon powder. Apply the paste to the scalp about 15 minutes before taking a bath, and then rinse it off using lukewarm water.

    3. Relieving toothache – Honey and cinnamon seem to be a great combo for fighting off pain of any kind. For toothache, make a paste out of five teaspoons of honey and a teaspoon of cinnamon powder. Apply it on the tooth in question, up to thrice a day, and see the pain go away in about fifteen minutes.

    4. Reducing cholesterol – Honey is a definitely great substitute for sugar, but do you know taking it with cinnamon also helps to reduce cholesterol? Mix 3 teaspoons of cinnamon powder and 2 tablespoons of honey into tea, about 16 ounces. This mixture is found to reduce the cholesterol level in a patient’s blood by up to 10% in the first two hours. Using pure honey with food also helps to keep cholesterol in check.

Take about a tablespoon of lukewarm honey and mix it with ¼ teaspoon of cinnamon powder. Take this mixture everyday for three days, and you will find that it easily cures the most chronic problems with coughs and colds, as well as effectively clears the sinuses.

    6. Helps in infertility – Interestingly, many ancient cultures have relied on honey in strengthening the fertility of men. Experts recommend taking two tablespoons of honey just before bedtime, both for men and women. The recommendation for this would be to take 4 tablespoons of honey and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon mixed into 3 cups of water and to boil the concoction into a tea.

    10. Aiding weight loss – Interestingly, experts have also found that drinking a honey and cinnamon mixture boiled in a cup of water as soon as the person gets up in the morning has a significant effect on the person’s weight. It also apparently keeps fat from accumulating in the body.
