Best Hair Loss Treatment
who has been severely suffering from hair-loss. The re-growth of the hairline that is caused due to difficulties in hair follicles are genetic factors and harsh environmental conditions such as dust and dirt that seeps in and bacteria that starts eating away the skin scalp letting the entire pathway to appear clean and clear and awkward to the patient.
The medicines recommended by the dermatologists consist of at least 5% of minoxidil that controls the disease of the head scalp called as alopecia. The treatment with Rogaine applied twice a day is helpful to make hair soft and fluffy for prolonged period of time. Sometimes the treatment procedures even take a long period in between 8-9 months whereas actual treatment therapy must take place somewhere around six months to heal up the process of hair-loss.
It has to keep in mind that even best hair-loss treatment is adopted it shouldn’t reciprocates the process of healing of the head scalp where in certain criteria the patient has reported a complaint about excessive hair-growth at the targeted area which is more then the normal condition outlook. The best treatment fails overtime and its effectiveness is challenged and repercussions faced only by the patient as is been suggested by the dermatologists. The best hair-loss treatment should be duly certified by FDA for its approval because there are many substitutes available in the domestic market who fools the customer by its fancy outlook through over-the-counter hair-loss treatment products.
Propecia along with minoxidil if applied together after thorough mixing procedure is very effective to the head scalp and controls the hair-loss efficiently. The pregnant women must opt for more soft but sophisticated natural or conventional methods so that the by-birth defects in the body triggers the life-long cycle of scalp disease that need to be carefully executed by them. Especially the tablets or pills eaten in excess are harmful for their head scalp because such medicines later in the stage warms the body and triggers the sudden fall of the hair lining. Apart from medicinal help, hair-transplant surgery is effective to the baldness too but it’s rather expensive by nature. Certain patients are required to undergo multiple forms of surgeries based on the male and female patterns but there’s a guarantee that the look will look natural to the patient as suggested by dermatologists. Retin-A as termed a tretinoin or renova is prescribed for an increase of 10% output results for partial or full hair-loss treatment of the patient.
Oral medications for partial or full baldness should be taken in combination therapy not as a single hairline treatment of the scalp. The enzymes which are responsible for changing the testosterone into DHT of the head scalp are inhibited already under propecia and minoxidil. Dutasteride is an active ingredient that is a drug to treat away the enhanced or enlarged prostate glands of the neck region under avodart. The active ingredient blocks the enzymes as other ingredients does where DHT is created at the target area. Ketoconanazole is present in shampoos to treat the dandruff as dandruff ill-treated starts making the scalp skin rough and dry and the hair follicles becomes brittle thus they tend to fall suddenly in bathrooms, kitchens, rooms etc. If this ingredient is considered as the best hair-loss formula then simply 1% of it isn’t sufficient as FDA doesn’t approves the specific quantity and will ill-treat the head scalp with no guarantee. Best antacid treatment therapy again for partial or full hair-loss is through tagamet along with azelaic acids and introduction to peptides.

Many men find themselves with thinning hair as they get older. They find themselves waking up to hair all over their pillow. This usually triggers them to have a good look at their head and realize baldness is starting to take affect.
Men usually try different types of shampoo and conditioners to cure their problem, but find out in time that they have just thrown their money down the drain along with their hair. The next step they usually take is to do more research and look at other hair treatments. They don't want to go to outside help, so they look for treatment they can do from the comfort of their own home.
Hairmax is a laser hair treatment that men can do from their own home and will save them the embarrassment from having to go to a clinic to get treatment for their baldness. The Hairmax laser comb is a therapy that has the approval from the FDA and is a compact version of the laser hair treatment teat people receive in clinics.
It is used the same as you would use a normal hair brush. The laser comb has built into it low levels lasers that will stimulate the users hair follicles. This works by increasing blood flow to the area that is being treated.
The normal time to see an improvement is between 6 - 10 weeks. The improvements include stronger hair and thicker hair. Once regrowth has occurred it is best for the user to continue with the treatment 3-4 times per week. This will help the user maintain the regrowth of hair.
Due to the great success of laser combs and being relatively cheap to other procedures, laser combs are here to stay and perfect for the man that doesn't want to have to go a clinic to cure baldness.

Hair Color Treatments for a Sensitive Scalp
Wanting to cover those grey strands or simply want to change your hair color for a different look? Think again. Studies about hair color treatments reveal that 5% of frequent hair dye users are bound to have sensitive scalp or develop allergies in the long run. However, those who already have sensitive skin will see and feel negative effects as soon as harsh chemicals in hair color touch their scalp. These effects are redness, burning sensation, dryness and itch, and usually caused by the following ingredients:
1. Harsh Chemicals in Hair Dye
A non-profit environmental organization based in the US called EWG or Environmental Working Group whose mission is "to use the power of public information to protect public health and the environment” gathered some alarming information on hair coloring preparations. Based on their research for the Skin Deep Database, 400 in 456 tested hair dyes have harmful ingredients that can cause skin or scalp irritation and hair damage, and are poisonous to humans in general. Three of the said ingredients are described below as well as their negative effects to health.
2. Coal Tar
Almost 70 percent of hair coloring treatments have this substance in it. Coal tar is in charge of giving a dark tint to hair colors. It is counted as one of the most irritating ingredients. It can be easily taken in through the scalp and a little skin contact with coal tar means a bad breakout. So, individuals with sensitive scalp, beware.
3. Formaldehyde
Also known as formalin, this compound is commonly used to preserve cadavers and is found in hair dyes too. Exposure to this substance may result to a burning and itchy feeling on the scalp and other health risks. Studies have proven that formaldehyde can result to cancer and problems in the reproductive system. Side effects such as these make hair dyeing dangerous for pregnant women.
4. Paraphenylenediamine
PPD for short, when mixed together with hydrogen peroxide creates an irritating effect on the scalp. A common chemical allergen, it is a coloring ingredient found in permanent hair dyes. Paraphenylenediamine can easily be soaked up by the pores in the head and result to badly irritated skin.
There are other ingredients found in hair dyes that can pose health risks. These ingredients are parabens, ammonia, lead and mercury. Commercial brands of hair coloring treatments and even salon-used ones may contain these harmful chemicals. These may not only trigger an allergic reaction, but one can also end up with a scalp that is sensitive, hair damage or hair loss, lung and eye irritation, cancer, organ failure and birth abnormalities especially when used by a pregnant woman.
The best way to avoid these side effects is to not color your hair. Of course, for some, this is not possible. Especially for the type of woman who prides in having the latest hairstyles and of course, a new hair color and highlights to make her look younger. For this reason, a safe alternative for commercial hair dyes and some tips in mild coloring for sensitive scalps are shared below.
1. Henna For Your Hair
Henna tattoo looks good on the skin as an alternative to real painful tattoos. But, for the hair? Yes! Henna is first and foremost used during early times as a hair dye. A natural dark tint that does not contain any of the above harmful chemicals, it is now available in ready to use liquid form or you may also purchase it in powder form to effectively cover those protruding grey hairs.
2. For Sensitive Skin, Nothing Beats A Professional!
If you have sensitive skin and scalp, it is best that you seek the services of a hair expert for hair coloring treatment. A professional hairdresser will know what type of product or the exact brand to recommend that will suit your skin type. Allergy to hair dyes is a common problem encountered by women and salons are prepared for this with specially formulated products. Most of them are also trained to apply color correctly by not letting the substance touch the scalp.
3. Know What Your Coloring Kit of Choice Contains
Resorting to DIY at-home coloring kits? Be sure to read the ingredients listed at the back of the box to avoid the harmful ones mentioned above. There are popular brands that are created without ammonia, and there are those that do not have PPD in it like Herbavita and Naturtint. To be on the safe side, test the product first on your skin before using the whole box.

Protein shakes may lead to baldness
WA's only hair transplant surgeon Jennifer Martinick said that she was booked out for more than six months and performing more than 400 procedures annually - up about 30 per cent from a year ago.
"Lots of young guys these days are very image conscious," Perth Now quoted Dr Martinick as saying.
"They are 20 or 30-something, go to the gym, some even have Botox, take protein shakes to build up muscle but don't realise it can contribute to baldness. They have lots of disposable income so they come for treatment because they also want a full head of hair."
"There is a growing feeling that people are getting balder earlier and it may be possibly because of diet."
"There are a lot of animal fats in the western diet and then guys go to the gym and take things like creatin, whey protein isolates and think they're doing the right thing," Dr Martinick added.
The New Hair Clinic physician said that she recommended patients to stop consuming protein shakes to prevent further hair loss and was able to delay baldness in some cases with medication.

Hair colour guide for your tresses
Rose (warm): For a person with light-toned skin with pink or porcelain undertones, ruby-reds, cocoa-bean browns and champagne blondes work the best. Hairstylist Sapna Bhavnani suggests, "Fair complexions can carry off most colours, but jet black and ash blonde should be avoided. Warm tones also work wonders."
Brown (warm): Hairstylist Savio John Pereira, says, "For a person with dusky complexion, toasted-pecan brown with hints of gold works the best. Shades of copper should be avoided."
Yellow (cool): For a person with light medium or beige undertones, you can opt for light strawberry blondes, caramel or baby blondes.
Olive (cool): For a person with medium-toned skin with a hint of green undertones, chestnut browns and red hues with cooler notes work the best.
Shades of browns, auburns, reds with a subtle hi-lite create texture and movement. Brown suits most skin tones and is very popular. If you have a swarthy or a tanned complexion, coffee or taffy brown suits the best. If you want a dramatic look, red is the perfect choice for women. Whereas, blonde has a certain zest and is uber popular.

3 Natural Treatments for Thinning Hair
The more scientists learn about male pattern baldness, the clearer it becomes that genetics are one of the main contributors to hair loss. Some of us are genetically predisposed to start thinning in our 20s, some of us in our 40s, and some of us never at all. When this predisposition is genetic, it unfortunately cannot be changed without very expensive medical intervention, usually involving laser treatments, transplants, or hair grafts.
But what we have to remember is that predisposition is never a sure bet. If you are predisposed to hair loss, you can still keep your scalp in good shape by living a healthy lifestyle and not engaging in any behaviors that do damage to the scalp or otherwise contribute to hair loss.
If you want to increase your chances of keeping your hair, try these natural treatments for hair loss:
1. Herbal supplements: There are several types of herbs and herb complexes that have been found to decrease hair loss. While they may not be able to restore hair that has already been lost, they can at least slow down the process. Here are a few of the most popular herbal supplements for hair loss:
• Saw palmetto: From the saw palmetto tree that grows in the southeastern U.S., this herb is thought to have the same effects as the prescription drug Propecia, blocking the types of hormones that lead to hair loss.
• Green tea: Like saw palmetto, this herb shifts the hormonal balance within the body and makes the effects of hair loss less severe.
• Other herbal supplements: Other herbs that have been shown to have anti-hair-loss properties include ginger, apple cider vinegar, and licorice extract.
2. Caffeine: Several studies in recent years have shown that topical application of caffeine can have real anti-balding benefits. Since this news became public, several companies have released shampoos that contain caffeine, and this may be the best route for applying caffeine to the scalp. In order for caffeine to be effective, it has to be applied topically. Drinking it doesn’t have the same effect.
3. Lifestyle treatments: Ultimately, the best way to treat hair loss is to live a healthy lifestyle in every possible way. For example, certain types of exercise have the effect of reducing free testosterone in the circulatory system, and this can translate into a decreased risk of baldness. Having a toned and moderately muscular body helps establish the right balance of testosterone.
Meanwhile, reducing stress is always a good idea, and it also helps to get at least 8 hours of sleep per night. If you can combine these things with a balanced diet and plenty of exercise, your scalp will thank you.

Health Risks of Using Chemical Hair Dyes
It is almost impossible these days to have at least one day of not running into at least one lady who has not had her hair dyed at least once in her lifetime. Studies show that more than 50 million women in the United States dye their hair on a regular basis, with many of them starting to use hair dyes from a very young age. Many more say that they will indeed use hair dyes once their hair starts to turn gray, as it is deemed to be the most satisfying solution to beauty concerns that come with aging.
But just like any other chemical add-on done for beauty, there are certain risks involved with using these hair products. In fact, one of the main chemicals found in most hair dyes has once been banned in many European countries. Scientific experiments have also shown a wide array of harmful effects coming from hair dye chemicals. Just what are these health risks?
1. Allergic reactions
Allergic reactions, ranging from skin to respiratory reactions, is reportedly the biggest risk for using hair dyes. It is not easy to get figures for how many hair dye user actually suffer from allergic reactions, because majority of these people do not actually seek medical assistance. But there are cases when the allergic reactions to chemicals in hair dyes have actually been severe, or, worse, fatal. A mild allergic reaction may come from an irritation on the rims of the person’s ears, or on her upper eyelids; a more severe reaction would involve the whole head or even body. Anaphylactic shock is a severe form of allergic reaction, wherein the tongue swells and the airways get constricted. While isolated, there have been cases wherein hair dyes have caused this reaction. Meanwhile, skin allergic reactions may happen when a person first uses the hair dye, but it can also happen to someone who has actually used the dye regularly for a while; this is because the immune system can still get sensitized when the dye is applied, increasing the chances of an allergic reaction in the future.
2. Asthma
Studies have shown that hair stylists actually have an increased chance of developing occupational asthma. This is linked to the persulfates found in bleaches and the PPD found in hair dyes. Experts explain that being exposed to these chemicals in the long-term causes the airways to become sensitized, which can result in asthma attacks upon exposure to them. In fact, studies have shown that hair stylists have a greater occurrence of asthma compared to the population average.
3. Cancer
Scientific studies of lab animals have shown that chemicals in hair dye, when given in high doses, indeed cause cancer by breaking down the DNA or cell in the animal’s body. In humans and in low doses, though, there is still an ongoing debate about how hair dye chemicals may be linked to cancer. The studies continue to be inconclusive, although new research has linked the use of hair dye to at least one specific type of cancer. The research studied groups of women with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma compared to a control group, and it showed that women with hair dye use before 1980, especially those of darker colors, had a higher risk of getting diagnosed with the disease. Also, studies of the rates of cancer among hairstylists give a sobering picture: a hairstylist who had used hair dyes for 5 or more years was found to have a risk of developing breast cancer three times than the average. Consistent studies also show the hair colorists had an increased chance of developing leukemia, multiple myeloma, and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
So does that mean there is no way to dye your hair if you want a new look? Well, you still have the option of turning to hair dyes that come with natural ingredients. For example, henna comes from a plant, and gives you a permanent hair color change. Opt for 100% henna, or the body-art quality, as other blends may contain metals. Indigo, a blue dye used for dyeing jeans and also known as black henna, is also a good choice for dyeing your hair dark. Honey is another option that you can use if you want to lighten your blonde hair.
Overall, no ambition for beauty is enough to sacrifice your health over, and if you can opt for natural ingredients that also achieve the same results, the final decision should be automatic!
